Vibration-Based Locomotion of an Amphibious Robot

چکیده

In this research, an innovative robot is presented that can move both on land and water thanks to a vibration-based locomotion mechanism. The consists of U-shaped beam made spring steel, two low-density feet allow it stand the surface without sinking, micro-DC motor with eccentric mass, which excites vibrations. exhibits stable terrestrial aquatic based synchronization between body vibrations centrifugal force due mass. On one hand, in locomotion, advances floating oscillations asymmetric shape feet. other has already been demonstrated for similar robot, exploits modes vibration elastic beam. study, effect different excitation frequencies speed examined by means experimental tests numerical model. A good agreement results found. maximum takes place when are excited.
